I find a constant source of inspiration in working with people
With a unique mix of styles and expertise, my major source of inspiration is working with people through movement and dance.
I started dancing forró in London back in 2014. The unique mix of styles, teachers, and the diverse community I was a part of became a constant source of inspiration and learning for me. It provided a vast playground for me to grow as a dancer and mover. In 2017, I joined the Forró Foundations teaching team, alongside Chinedu, Jonathan, and Grazi, in this great project.
My way to Zürich
Fast forward 12 months, I moved to Zürich and joined Dj Sampa in producing and organising forró events through our project, Forró Vinyl. Our cultural association promotes forró through vinyl culture, DJing, and dance workshops. We organize regular monthly events in Zürich and an annual festival called Forró Vinyl Festival. I teach regularly in Zürich at the university ETH and at my school: Passo a Passo.
I also receive ongoing mentorship and coaching with Sheila Santos. My quality of movement, body conscience, connection, autonomy, and independence of expression.
My life as a mover and dancer has been shaped by her practice of hip hop as a teenager and Capoeira in my twenties. I'm a UX Designer by trade.
I recently accomplished a the completion of Balanced Body Pilates Teacher Training
